MORE UK businesses are being snapped up by China — including distribution centres for Marks & Spencer.

It is feared the link to the Communist state may pose a risk to national security.

Distribution centres for Marks & Spencer are majority owned by China Investment Corporation

Beijing-run China Investment Corporation owns 60 per cent of Logicor, which runs 170 distribution centres.

They include a Northants hub used by M&S.

It also has a 20-year deal in Solihull, West Mids, with Farmfoods.

Amazon, DHL and Pretty Little Things are also clients.

Thames Water, UK Power Networks and Heathrow also have Chinese interest.

Last week, Rishi Sunak said it was right to be “alert and protect ourselves” against China.
